چکیده

This paper proposes time-domain analytical expressions of the instantaneous pulsating torque components in a synchronous machine air gap when supplied by load-commutated-inverter (LCI) system. The LCI technology is one most used variable frequency drives very high power and low speed are required applications such as pipeline recompression decompression, well liquefied natural gas compression. In applications, motors because their efficiency resulting from separated supply current to rotor through excitation circuit. These usually have long flexible shafts, which sensitive torsional vibration frequencies interact with any external applied shaft. A analysis international standards assess survivability shaft overall range motor. Therefore, magnitude motor air-gap needed for evaluation. proposed developments supported numerical simulations systems large operation range. From simulation results, harmonic families derived expressed parametric form, confirm accuracy relationships.

Native and Additional Cogging Torque Components of PM Synchronous Motors – Evaluation and Reduction

High performance motor drive applications require permanent–magnet synchronous motors that produce smooth torque with very low components of cogging torque. To fulfil such demands a variety of design techniques can be used to reduce or even eliminate cogging torque components. Rotor design techniques are in comparison to the stator ones much more effective, but their effectiveness depend consid...

Adaptive Control for Torque Ripple Minimization in PM Synchronous Motors

This paper presents two methods for designing special purpose controllers for permanent magnet synchronous motor. The main target of the designed controllers is to reduce torque ripples of this type of motors. The first proposed adaptive method is based on two loop controllers (current controller and speed controller) in addition to using space vector pulse width modulation to maximize fundamen...

On torque ripple reduction in current-fed switched reluctance motors

This paper addresses a basic control issue in switched reluctance motor (SRM) drives—the production of a ripple-free torque. Simple and largely model-independent conventional supply waveforms are not able to satisfy this requirement. The goal of this paper is to improve SRM dynamical performance by compensating for motor nonlinearities, while maintaining the robustness of conventional methods. ...
